About Us
Everyone involved in CORE is an educator deeply committed to providing meaningful and relevant professional development. Our courses address topics that concern today’s educators and will provide participants with skills and strategies designed to enhance their knowledge on a broad variety of current education topics. CORE is a NYSED Approved CTLE Sponsor and all instructors incorporate coursework that follows CTLE guidelines that will promote the professionalization of teaching.
Educators taking courses at CORE Professional Development can count on an interactive learning experience and personal and positive communication with instructors. Participants are assured that they will leave each course with current research and classroom strategies ready to be implemented with their own students and that incorporate the CTLE goal of improving teachers’ pedagogical skills.
Our instructors keep in mind the tenets of our Mission Statement as well as what CORE means: “Committed to Optimizing Rigor in Education.” Instructors will use a variety of methods to create interactive instruction including Moodle and Google Drive as well as instructor-designed course websites.
We are members of the Professional Learning Associations, LearningForward and LearningForward NY.
We follow the New York State Professional Development Standards as outlined by NYSED:
